Local 692 represents workers in two major segments of the construction industry: plaster and concrete.

Both segments have multiple specialty fields and niche markets which are essential to maintaining the variety and quality of construction projects. Concrete workers place, finish, and repair concrete in commercial, industrial and residential settings and heavy and highway.

Plasterers apply plaster to interior walls and ceilings to form fire-resistant and relatively soundproof surfaces. In addition, they install prefabricated exterior insulation systems over existing walls. Members are on the job at many industrial/commercial sites in the Wabash Valley area.

Local 692 is a statewide union covering all of Indiana and a large portion of Kentucky. This local serves Vigo, Parke, Vermillion, Clay, Owen, Putnam and Monroe counties in Indiana.

Membership benefits include competitive wages and benefits, overtime pay, a health care plan, a pension plan and a savings plan. The international association is the Operative Plasterers and Cement Masons’ International Association.
